This was done in multiple layers. First I did the dark wash in the background. Then I applied Masking Fluid. Then I rubbed off the excess and the next day I painted in the flowers/swirls of color.

When I saw this photo I really liked this guy. He is an Eastern Towhee–looks like he should have the name Harvey. Say hello to Harvey. These birds are related to sparrows.

In art class today, I used Brusho, then added in more defined tulips and stems.
Tulip Impression
This painting is based on an original photo taken a week ago. The crane chick grows 1 inch a day. I saw “Fuzz Crane” today, and his legs are already getting long relative to his body. Very cute little chick.
In addition to having my tent full of art for exhibition, I did have an area set aside for little ones to color and THAT was a hit. My friend Anabella helped me throughout the day and her son, Gabib, is here managing the kiddie table. He did an awesome job. We had a lot of customers. And when it was too hot and the crayons were melting, we brought the table, chairs and venue inside the tent. My 3-D paintings (Atlantic Puffin and Koala Brothers) were the most popular.

Previously, I painted this to create a unique design for a local club. I modified it to be more generic to any club. I truly love the blend of images and colors–it depicts almost anywhere of Miami clubs (country clubs, yacht clubs, etc.).
