This guy is content sitting in the tree enjoying spring and the flowers around him. He is NOT paying any attention whatsoever to the news.
I guess you could say these paintings are part of my “Woodpecker and Panda” series. Similar to last week, I am painting the same subjects but in different ways. Enjoy!

Watercolor on 12″ by 9″ Cold Pressed Paper
Here are two paintings done primarily in watercolor with a little bit of gouache. Each is done on 12″ by 9″ cold pressed paper.
This panda went through a lot. I was not happy with his face–too many sequins. Then I added glitter–too much glitter. Then I added gouache paint and now I am done. Hope you like this serious clarinet player.
This is Bei Bei, inspired from photos taken of him from the Washington DC zoo, after he made his debut public appearance.
Using black ink and one watercolor tube of paint, I came up with this little panda. Pandas are so adorable…
