I saw this photo by David Rogers–could not locate him but will still try–this painting was loosely based on one of several of his photos of the amazing sea sparkle that you can see north of Tathra, in New South Wales. I just have to return to Australia…

By now, everyone knows how much I love Australia, its animals, its people and its landscape. Today I was in the mood to “go to Australia.” I could not travel there in a day, but by looking at many images on the web, and applying new watercolor techniques from my class of a few weeks ago, I came up with this.

Wallaby Practicing for the WNBA (Wallaby National Basketball Association)
Last weekend, a friend mentioned her trip to Australia and how she liked the wallabies. Wallabies! That inspired me to remember those gentle diminutives of kangaroos! This one is practicing for the WNBA which in this case is the Wallaby National Basketball Association. Hope you enjoy this one.
